Kraken Proof of Reserves: verify snapshot inclusion and its limits

Check whether a Kraken balance was included in a dated reserve review and distinguish covered assets, futures adjustments and transactions after that snapshot.

Use the review date, not today's balance

Kraken's verification instructions concern in-scope balances at a particular time. Later trades or deposits change today's balance without changing that historical proof. Record the snapshot date beside each value.

Match wallet and asset scope

The reserve page describes separate futures-collateral records and adjustments depending on contract type. Match the record before treating a difference from the asset screen as an error. Do not count an out-of-scope balance as a failed proof.

Separate inclusion from account protection

Kraken's security page describes controls against unauthorized access; reserve inclusion answers another question. Retain authentication and recovery protections even after checking a historical balance. FINEX has not tested your account's inclusion.

Read the limitations before relying on the result

The reserve explanation identifies hidden encumbrances and later events as limitations. Inclusion is not a continuous solvency or withdrawal guarantee. Regional contractual rights remain a separate legal question under the terms applicable to the account.
