OneRoyal fixed and variable: compare two scenarios
Use an equal pip value to separate spread from commission rather than treating fixed as fixed total cost.
Fixed has a separate schedule
Fixed Spread ECN lists spreads from 0.4 pip with USD 3 per side per lot; Fixed Classic starts at 1.8 without commission. Variable ECN instead lists USD 3.50 per side. Keep the full account name.

Diagram explained
Illustration: USD 10 and USD 18 before other costs
- Fixed ECN: 0.4 pip + USD 6 both sides
- Fixed Classic: from 1.8 pip
- Assume 1 lot, USD 10/pip
An example at advertised starting values
Assume USD 10/pip for one FX lot and the listed Fixed starting values: ECN is 0.4 × 10 + 6 = USD 10; Classic is 1.8 × 10 = USD 18. These are not measured execution costs.

Variable depends on timing
The source links floating spreads to liquidity and volatility. Compare same-time, same-symbol observations for an actual comparison. Variable’s starting zero spread alone cannot rank it against the Fixed illustration.

Beyond entry pricing
The example excludes financing, funding charges and conversion. Funding includes a below-two-lot condition, so fixed does not lock all money-out costs. Obtain the assigned company/account terms.
