Saxo UK: daily custody and value dates
A EUR 12,000 example explains monthly billing of daily accruals rather than monthly charging of an annual rate.
Check the instrument condition
Help directs clients to the instrument’s Custody fee condition; absence means no fee. General pricing varies with residence, so 0.12% is not universal across clients/assets.

Diagram explained
Monthly billing sums daily accruals
- Assume EUR 12,000 × 0.12% / 360
- EUR 0.04/day × 30 = EUR 1.20
- From value date; end-of-day value
Constant-value example
Assume EUR 12,000, a 0.12% annual rate, 360-day convention and 30 eligible days: EUR 0.04 daily, EUR 1.20 monthly. EUR 14.40 is the assumed annual amount, not the monthly charge.

Start at value date
Help starts accrual at value date rather than trade date; changing closing values change accruals. Delisted or non-online-tradable holdings may still incur custody, so trading unavailability does not imply a waiver.

Bill the holding account
The holding account is charged, with no conversion fee on monthly booking under Help. This differs from commission credit or margin functionality; monitor cash because the schedule allows fees to create a negative balance and interest.
