Coinbase Exchange versus Advanced: read the right fee schedule
Separate Coinbase Exchange from Advanced before comparing maker/taker rates, tier qualification, stable pairs and withdrawal charges.
Name the product on your account
Coinbase Exchange and Coinbase Advanced have separate fee documentation. Write the product name beside the account's applicable schedule; the Coinbase brand alone does not identify the rate.

Diagram explained
Check the exact service and evidence scope
- Exact Coinbase product
- Applicable tier and pair
- Filled-order and exit cost
Do not transfer tier qualifications
Exchange describes a trailing-volume schedule outside its Liquidity Program. Advanced also describes product-specific volume or balance qualifications. Check the actual qualification page instead of applying an Exchange threshold to an Advanced account.

Record partial fills and special pairs
A limit order can take liquidity on one portion and add it with the remainder. Reserve separate worksheet columns for maker value, taker value and any special-pair exception. Do not assign one role merely from the order's name.

Keep verification separate from service access
Coinbase's identity-document guidance concerns verification; it does not establish access to every Exchange or Advanced service. Complete the product-and-country check before estimating a trading journey that your account may not support.
