FOREX.com Raw: commission follows USD notional
Convert equal base-currency quantities into USD and keep charging-side interpretation explicit.
USD 5 per USD 100,000 traded
Raw’s FAQ states USD 5 per USD 100,000 traded. Its EURUSD example converts EUR 200,000 at 1.10 into USD 220,000 and USD 11 for the illustrated transaction. This is not USD 5 for every base-currency lot.

Diagram explained
Not presumed a complete open/close-cycle fee
- EUR 50,000 × 1.08 = USD 54,000
- 54,000 / 100,000 × USD 5
- Illustrative transaction charge: USD 2.70
A smaller-volume example
Assume EUR 50,000 at 1.08: USD 54,000 notional gives 54,000 / 100,000 × 5 = USD 2.70 on that transaction basis. Confirm charging sides and closing notional before treating it as a complete cycle.

The interface does not change the unit
The platform table lists Standard and Raw across systems; choosing MT5 does not turn USD-notional pricing into a flat per-lot amount. Record account, symbol, size and base currency for reconciliation.

Costs beyond commission
Raw spread can exceed zero and rollover can add a charge or credit. The example measures neither actual spread nor slippage. Separate commission, financing and conversion before comparing Standard.
