IC Funded daily loss: equity and server-time reset

IC Funded monitors equity, including floating positions, and resets daily loss at 00:00 server time on GMT+2/GMT+3. A closed balance above the limit does not protect an account whose equity breaches it. The exact daily baseline needs account-level confirmation.

Open losses count before closure

The FAQ says a daily-equity violation can occur at any moment, not only after closing a trade. In an independent hypothetical account, $10,000 balance with a $400 open loss means $9,600 equity before further costs. The displayed balance alone omits that exposure.

Confirm the daily dollar baseline separately

  1. Open P&L changes equity now
  2. 00:00 GMT+2 → 05:00 Vietnam
  3. 00:00 GMT+3 → 04:00 Vietnam

Translate the clock, not the rule

00:00 at GMT+2 corresponds to 05:00 Vietnam time; at GMT+3 it corresponds to 04:00. These are arithmetic conversions of the stated server offsets, not fixed year-round Vietnamese reset times. Check the active offset on the date of trading.

Do not invent a missing formula

The Professional table labels daily loss “End-of-day equity” at 5%, while the accessible FAQ explains equity enforcement and reset time without a complete dollar-baseline formula. Do not assume a higher-of-balance/equity method copied from another firm. Obtain the exact account threshold in writing.

The overall limit is a separate calculation

Professional’s maximum loss is 10% of initial size, fixed. An independent $10,000 original-size example has a $9,000 overall floor, regardless of later growth. Both limits and prohibited-strategy terms remain relevant; neither defines a safe position size.
