Futures Prime: EOD trailing versus the Challenge Daily Pause

Maximum drawdown is a hard breach; Daily Pause is a separate session stop and not guaranteed protection against slippage. The current rule summary and detailed stage wording differ, so confirm the post 14 July 2026 Earning scope. Country/data eligibility remains separate.

Track the EOD high, not an intraday peak

In an independent 100K example, the stated $3,000 loss distance gives initial floor $97,000. A highest EOD close at $101,000 gives $98,000. An open unrealised peak alone does not move this EOD reference, but the existing floor remains enforceable.

Diagram explained

Hard drawdown remains after any daily intervention

  1. 100K loss distance: $3,000
  2. EOD close $101K → floor $98K
  3. Daily Pause can be overshot by slippage

The lock is starting balance

Once the trail reaches $100,000 on 100K, it stops. Do not add a $100 cushion from another provider. Any reward reduces remaining account balance, so compute post-request headroom rather than assuming a maximum allowed request is operationally sensible.

Pause is not a guaranteed loss cap

The provider warns slippage can overshoot Daily Pause and then breach Max Drawdown. The daily limit updates at 16:15 CT. Treat it as an intervention mechanism rather than a replacement for independent position-risk control.

Resolve the stage contradiction

The at-a-glance table lists Daily Pause in Challenge and Earning, but the detailed section says Challenge only and removal from Earning on 14 July 2026. Preserve that discrepancy and confirm the account cohort. A readable country list still does not guarantee every market-data connection is supported.
