Futures Prime 40% rule: July 2026 changes the target formula
Futures Prime challenges created from 14 July 2026 recalculate the target as highest day÷0.40; older ones add only the excess over the original cap. It is a soft target adjustment, not a payout consistency test. Confirm residence and data eligibility separately.
Start from the original target
An independent 50K challenge starts with $3,000 target, so 40% is $1,200. If the largest day is $1,400, the original cap has been exceeded by $200. This identifies the input; the creation cohort determines the next calculation.

Diagram explained
Creation date changes the required target
- Original target $3,000; best day $1,400
- New cohort: $1,400÷0.40=$3,500
- Older cohort: $3,000+$200=$3,200
New cohort recalculates the whole target
For creation on/after 14 July 2026, divide $1,400 by 0.40 to obtain $3,500. The rule makes that best day 40% of the adjusted target. Do not merely add $200 and call $3,200 sufficient for this cohort.

Older cohort adds only the excess
For the same independent inputs before 14 July 2026, the stated method adds $200 to $3,000, yielding $3,200. This compares formulas, not two actual trader records. A new larger winning day can change either target again.

Do not move the test into Earning
The rules expressly exclude Futures Earning accounts from 40% challenge consistency. Earning instead has qualifying-day and reward-buffer/cap requirements. The old overview may retain earlier examples; keep the dedicated current rules and reward page together with identity and residence checks.
