Charles Schwab review: international investing versus US forex
Schwab International and Schwab forex have different eligibility: the current dealer disclosure limits forex to US customers, not all international investors.
Separate product routes
The international brokerage page concerns US investing for eligible overseas clients. The forex dealer disclosure expressly limits forex to US customers; access to international equities does not override that rule.

Diagram explained
Do not infer forex eligibility from a brokerage account
- International brokerage
- Forex: US customers only
- Separate application and risks
Country selection still matters
The international application requires residence in a qualifying country and identity/address evidence. The opened sources do not establish Vietnam acceptance, so this review does not label the service available to Vietnamese residents.

Different companies and protection
Charles Schwab Futures and Forex LLC is separate from Charles Schwab & Co. Forex funds do not receive SIPC protection or the futures bankruptcy preference described in the dealer disclosure.

A platform is not permission
A brokerage account can request thinkorswim access, but forex requires a separate application. For example, enabling the trading platform alone does not create approval for currency trading.
