D Prime: route orders to .s, .c or the ECN symbol
Match suffix to account type before routing an order or migrating an EA.
Three gold symbol names by account
The suffix FAQ dated 3 April 2026 uses XAUUSD.s for STP, XAUUSD.c for Cent and unsuffixed XAUUSD for ECN. Sharing the same base symbol does not establish the correct tradable instrument for an account.

Diagram explained
Renaming is not enough: also check lot units
- STP → XAUUSD.s
- Cent → XAUUSD.c
- ECN → XAUUSD
Check the EA symbol string
An EA hard-coded to XAUUSD needs review when moving from ECN to STP; do not assume automatic translation to XAUUSD.s. Locate the symbol in Market Watch, inspect Specification and check order logs in demo before enabling automation.

Changing the suffix does not finish sizing
Moving to Cent also changes volume and currency units: its help page gives 100 cent lots per standard lot. Renaming a symbol while retaining all lot/risk inputs can produce unintended exposure. Keep separate configurations for each account type.

A suffix does not identify pricing or entity
An unsuffixed symbol does not prove commission-free trading; the ECN help page gives spreads from zero without a complete commission schedule. A suffix also does not replace the agreement’s legal company name. This is an account-routing guide, not country-eligibility evidence.
