Plus500 guaranteed stops: wider spread and new positions
Read the non-refundable charge and amendment restrictions through an assumed gap scenario.
Select it on a new position
The FAQ permits GSL only on a new position, not an existing one. It cannot later be revoked, though the level can change during trading hours within distance rules. A standard stop is not automatically guaranteed.

Diagram explained
Illustration: USD 21 before other costs
- Assume 2 CFDs bought at USD 100
- GSL 90 · gap 80 · extra cost USD 1
- At GSL: USD 20 gross loss + USD 1 cost
The charge is additional spread
The page displays a wider spread before placement and makes it non-refundable once activated. This differs from another provider’s trigger-only model; Capital.com premium formulas cannot price a Plus500 stop.

An assumed gap example
Assume two CFDs bought at USD 100, GSL 90, a gap to 80 and USD 1 extra spread charge. GSL gross loss is USD 20, or USD 21 before other costs; an unguaranteed fill at 80 would give USD 40 gross loss.

Costs beyond the stop level
Financing or P/L conversion can change the USD 21 illustration. Confirm instrument eligibility and actual charge before placement. The example measures no live fills and recommends no particular stop distance.
