Plus500 overnight: opening rate versus share-CFD close rate
Use the asset-specific formula rather than a fixed notional assumption for every funding charge.
Two documented formulas
The FAQ uses trade size × opening rate × point value × daily funding percentage, but share CFDs use Daily Close Rate. That close rate follows the specified pre-funding quote, not a freely selected price.

Diagram explained
Do not substitute entry price into that formula
- Share CFD uses Daily Close Rate
- Assume 2 × USD 250 × 1 × 0.02%
- Illustrative financing: USD 0.10
A one-day share-CFD example
Assume size two, USD 250 close rate, point value one and 0.02% debit: 2 × 250 × 1 × 0.0002 = USD 0.10. Incorrectly substituting a USD 200 entry gives USD 0.08 instead.

Funding time comes from Details
The source places instrument-specific funding time and percentage in Details. Do not assign one reset to every FX/share symbol or timezone. Actual side/calendar inputs may differ from the example.

Conversion can follow financing
The conversion FAQ includes financing in net-loss examples. Keep one financing entry to avoid duplicate counting and record account currency. Additional GSL spread is another mechanism, not an overnight-rate replacement.
