StoneX Trading platforms: standard CFD versus MT4 and MT5
Choose the account before the app: standard CFD credentials and dedicated MetaTrader accounts have different access paths under the UK service.
Standard CFD access
The platform FAQ permits the CFD account on Web Trader and mobile apps. It also permits a standard CFD account to connect to TradingView; these interfaces access the underlying account rather than create a new legal entity.

Confirm account route before troubleshooting credentials
- Standard CFD: web / mobile
- TradingView: standard CFD connection
- MT4 / MT5: specific account required
MetaTrader needs its account
The same FAQ expressly says MT4 and MT5 require specific StoneX Trading accounts. A failed login can therefore reflect the wrong account route, not necessarily a platform outage.

Charts and fills differ
The support page says charts are indicative and use midpoint prices by default. Checking the bid or ask setting matters when comparing a plotted level with an actual buy or sell execution.

Keep regional eligibility attached
The rebrand announcement promised continuity for existing clients, not universal account portability. Residence still determines entity eligibility, and UK/Ireland spread-betting limits do not disappear when choosing another app.
