tastyfx review: US forex accounts and separate legal protections
tastyfx is a US retail forex dealer; its account models and protections should not be confused with an IG overseas CFD or securities account.
The actual dealer
The provider identifies tastyfx LLC as a US RFED and NFA Forex Dealer Member. Common ownership with tastytrade does not make the firms responsible for each other’s services.

Diagram explained
Match the legal product before comparing its price
- US forex dealer
- Standard / Zero+ / Prime
- No SIPC securities protection
Account models
Standard is spread-based; Zero+ separates spread and commission; Prime requires a $50,000 minimum. A different pricing model does not remove leveraged forex risk or guarantee lower realised costs.

Protection has boundaries
tastyfx says it is not an SEC securities broker-dealer, FINRA member or SIPC member. Do not treat a forex balance as a protected securities holding merely because another affiliate offers stocks.

Promotion eligibility is narrower
BOOST is a conditional US-resident offer that excludes affiliate-introduced clients and Ohio residents. Its eligibility cannot establish that a Vietnam resident may open an ordinary account; this review makes no such assurance.
