tastyfx Standard versus Zero+: calculate a round trip
Zero+ charges commission when opening and closing: compare its complete round-trip cost with Standard spreads rather than comparing headline minimums.
Read the unit
Zero+ quotes $5 per standard lot per side. One standard lot opened and later closed therefore generates $10 commission, before spread or any applicable overnight adjustment.

Diagram explained
Compare equal trades using the full cost
- 0.1 lot: $0.50 entry
- 0.1 lot: $0.50 exit
- Commission total: $1 + spread
Scale the example
For an illustrative 0.1-lot round trip, commission is $0.50 on entry and $0.50 on exit. A zero minimum spread does not turn that transaction into a free trade.

Compare observed costs
Standard advertises spreads from 0.8 pips with no commission. Compare the same pair, size and time using actual quoted spreads; minimum spreads are not a prediction of every fill.

Keep accounts separate
Zero+ requires an active Standard account and is margined independently. A balance or open position in one account should not be assumed to support the other account’s margin.
