Trade Nation: the 0.4-point stop-buffer boundary
Compare below-threshold and exact-threshold fills; the buffer is not a universal 0.4-point allowance.
Strictly below
Costs says negative stop slippage below 0.4 points is absorbed; at 0.4 or above the full market price applies. It is not a 0.4-point allowance with only the excess charged.

Diagram explained
Buffer is not a GSL or first-loss allowance
- 0.3-point gap: below 0.4 threshold
- Exactly 0.4: full market price
- GBP 2/point × 0.4 = GBP 0.80
Boundary example
Assume a sell stop at 100: the next price 99.7 is 0.3 away and within the buffer; 99.6 is exactly 0.4 away and outside. At GBP 2/point, the second slippage is GBP 0.80, not zero.

Match platform and order type
The source applies it to TN Trader including TradingView, but not MT4 or market orders. MT4 has separate specifications; brand/symbol similarity does not transfer the buffer.

Different from a premium GSL
Costs separately offers guaranteed stops with a triggered premium. A small buffer does not guarantee stop-level execution through every gap. Inspect the UK agreement/ticket; no live test or recommended stop distance is given.
