XTB currency transfers versus transaction conversion
Distinguish XTB UK's inter-account exchange charge from transaction conversion, using hypothetical arithmetic and a clear record of account and instrument currencies.
Identify the operation first
The FAQ quotes a percentage for transfers between investment accounts in different currencies, while separately explaining conversion of trading results and applicable fees. They are different operations.

Check the recorded terms before acting
- Transfer or trade conversion?
- 0.5% versus 0.8% by calendar
- EUR 5 / EUR 8: hypothetical
Read the transfer calendar
The opened help page lists 0.5% for such transfers and 0.8% on weekends/holidays. These are its published conditions, not a universal XTB-group exchange rate.
Use a transparent example
On a hypothetical converted value of EUR 1,000, 0.5% is EUR 5 and 0.8% is EUR 8. The EUR 3 difference excludes exchange-rate movements and other applicable costs.
Reconcile the actual result
For transaction conversion, the FAQ describes a margin included in XTB's exchange rate, with settlement depending on product type. Do not add another assumed identical fee without checking the ledger.
