XTB inactivity: two conditions on one calendar
Work through XTB UK's published trading and deposit inactivity tests together, including cash-balance and open-position exceptions, without suggesting unnecessary trades.
Use AND rather than OR
The FAQ says both tests must hold: no opened/closed position in 365 days and no deposit in 90 days. Either duration alone does not establish the published fee trigger.

Diagram explained
Check the recorded terms before acting
- 365-day trade test
- 90-day deposit test
- Both conditions plus exceptions
Try a hypothetical date check
Assume the last trade was 400 days ago but the last deposit 30 days ago. The second test fails, so this pair of dates does not satisfy both published conditions.
Read the exceptions
The page lists no charge with zero balance and particular open stock/ETF-related positions, and excludes ISA accounts. Keep the exact product/account wording when applying an exception.
Review without manufacturing activity
Record the dates and available funds, then obtain clarification where needed. The monthly fee guidance is a cost check, not a reason to place an otherwise unwanted trade.
