ActivTrades: trading costs and account funding decisions
Connect ActivTrades spread mechanics, currency conversion and withdrawal routing before moving funds; distinguish published help guidance from account terms.
Start with the funding currency
The help centre recommends funding in the account currency. A different accepted currency can trigger conversion, so record both currencies before comparing headline trading spreads.

Diagram explained
Check the recorded terms before acting
- Funding currency first
- Spread changes with liquidity
- Source return versus bank profit
Read a changing spread
ActivTrades explains that liquidity, news and rollover can widen spreads. A negative opening P/L is consistent with crossing bid and ask; it is not automatically a separate cash fee.
Separate the money-out routes
For cards and third-party payment providers, the help centre routes the original deposit back to its source and excess profit by bank transfer. Plan both destinations.
Keep processing distinct from receipt
The stated one-business-day processing window does not replace bank settlement. Save the request reference and compare approval, account debit and bank credit when tracing a delay.
