ActivTrades: calculate a cross-currency deposit cost
Use ActivTrades' published conversion percentage in a clearly hypothetical deposit example, without confusing the conversion fee with spread or bank charges.
Identify the accepted incoming currencies
The payments guidance limits different-currency receipts to EUR, GBP, CHF or USD. It recommends matching account currency; a supported currency list does not guarantee every payment route.

Diagram explained
Check the recorded terms before acting
- Accepted currency and account
- 0.5% × hypothetical USD 2,000
- USD 10 excludes other charges
Calculate the percentage separately
The published conversion fee is 0.5%. If a hypothetical accepted transfer has a converted value of USD 2,000, 0.005 × 2,000 = USD 10 before other charges.
Do not invent an exchange rate
The guidance refers to the prevailing market exchange rate. Preserve the quoted rate and credited amount on the actual transfer; USD 10 is an illustration, not a live quote.
Reconcile three kinds of cost
Keep payment-provider charges, currency conversion and later trading spread in separate ledger rows. The help centre notes external provider charges can exist even when ActivTrades charges no deposit fee.
