CMC account close-out: which positions close first?
Compare CMC UK's account close-out sequence options and the distinction between standard and prime margin, without assuming a guaranteed liquidation price.
Use account revaluation
CMC describes revaluation as cash plus net unrealised P/L and links close-out to the account's displayed level. Cash alone therefore misses floating losses affecting the trigger.

Diagram explained
Check the recorded terms before acting
- Cash + unrealised P/L
- Default can close every trade
- Sequence changes residual positions
Read the default
The UK execution page lists complete close-out as the default, closing all trades. Check Account Settings before assuming only one losing ticket will be removed.
Compare alternative sequences
The alternatives include newest-trade first, largest unrealised loss first and largest position margin first. Those rank different properties, so the same portfolio can leave different residual positions.
Separate standard and prime levels
The GSLO documentation distinguishes standard and prime close-out levels and their affected positions. Read the cash levels actually displayed; sequence settings do not promise a particular market exit price.
