FTMO 2-Step fee refund: budget until the first reward
Separate the upfront fee from a conditional refund and build a cash budget without assuming that passing means payment.
Refund belongs to the product
The official refund FAQ distinguishes 2-Step from 1-Step and Instant. For 2-Step, the initial purchase fee is refunded when the first reward withdrawal is requested, using the original payment method. This is not an upfront discount.

Diagram explained
A possible refund does not finance the purchase
- Hypothetical fee €200
- Separate tools €50
- Initial cash €250
Two milestones before cash returns
Completing the evaluation comes before identity verification and the account agreement. A reward also requires eligible simulated profit and compliance. Treat the purchase fee as money you may not recover, rather than spend a forecast refund twice.

A hypothetical cash budget
Assume a chosen checkout costs €200 and you set aside €50 for unrelated tools. Your planned cash outlay is €250. Even if the €200 later qualifies for return, you still need €250 initially. These are illustrative amounts, not FTMO prices or a recommended budget.

Save the evidence at purchase
Save the product name, account type, currency, final invoice and refund FAQ. Check personal eligibility separately; a Vietnamese-language website does not approve every applicant. Revisit the rulebook before the first reward request.
