Maven Standard daily drawdown: the 00:00 UTC equity reference
Maven’s Standard daily calculation uses the higher balance or equity at 00:00 UTC. The 4% allowance in its current FAQ is calculated from that reference, unlike a fixed-original-size method. The overall 8% floor stays static.
Set the reference in one timezone
00:00 UTC corresponds to 07:00 Vietnam time throughout the year. Record the balance and equity at that instant, not local midnight. This is a mathematical time conversion, not an assertion that every platform display uses UTC.

Diagram explained
Do not substitute a fixed $400 allowance
- Reset: 00:00 UTC = 07:00 Vietnam
- Higher value $10,300 ×4% = $412
- Daily floor: $10,300 − $412 = $9,888
Work through an independent example
Assume a $10,000 balance and $10,300 equity at reset. The higher reference is $10,300; 4% is $412 and the daily floor is $9,888. Subtracting a fixed $400 instead would produce the wrong result for this stated method.

An overall floor is not a daily substitute
For the independent original $10,000 size, the 8% static overall floor is $9,200. The hypothetical $9,888 daily floor is higher and therefore binds first that day. A closed balance can conceal floating losses that affect the daily test.

Keep the method tied to the plan
Instant and other Maven plans use different percentages and trailing mechanisms. Save the account’s named method and current terms beside your calculation. Do not treat the remaining distance as a recommended position risk or approval of an otherwise prohibited strategy.
