Maven Standard news: take-profit execution can breach the challenge
Standard plans restrict opening and closing affected trades within two minutes either side of relevant Red Folder news. The FAQ includes automatic take-profit and target-triggered closure. A hands-off exit is therefore not automatically exempt.
Map the event to affected instruments
The Standard FAQ applies CPI, FOMC and Non-Farm Employment Change restrictions to all instruments; other events use a stated instrument list. Check the relevant calendar and symbol, not just the currency in the trade’s name. This article does not generalise Standard rules to every Maven plan.

Diagram explained
No manual click does not mean exemption
- Window: −2 to +2 minutes
- Standard: entry and exit restricted
- TP and target auto-close included
Automatic closure still closes a trade
In an independent hypothetical 13:30 release, a take-profit at 13:31 lies within the two-minute window. The current FAQ expressly includes TP execution and automatic closure when the challenge target is reached. Not clicking manually does not remove the event.

Consequences differ by stage
For Standard challenge stages, the FAQ describes a hard breach for restricted-window opening or closure. In simulated funded stages, profits generated in the window are excluded. Preserve the stage, timestamp and event record; a profitable result alone does not prove compliance.

Other-plan exceptions conflict with broad terms
The general terms state a broad news prohibition, while the current FAQ grants different permissions to some non-Standard plans. Standard lies within the common restrictive scope used here. For another product, obtain a written version-specific answer instead of assuming the more permissive text wins.
