Topstep $50K: monthly fee and activation trade-off
Compare two published billing paths over an explicitly assumed number of months; a lower starting fee need not produce a lower total.
Name the billing path, not only account size
For the reviewed $50K Combine, Standard costs $49 per month plus $149 per earned XFA activation; the No Activation Fee path costs $95 per month with $0 activation. The provider says the path cannot be changed after purchase. These are scoped published prices, not a personal quotation.

Diagram explained
Compare the total under the same assumptions
- 3-month assumption: Standard $296
- 3-month assumption: No Activation $285
- 4 months reverses that cost ordering
Calculate the same assumed time horizon
Assume one XFA earned after three billed months with no resets: Standard totals 3 × $49 + $149 = $296; No Activation totals 3 × $95 = $285. At four months the totals become $345 and $380. These examples exclude tax, resets, reactivation and other charges.

Passing is not an assumed purchase outcome
The Combine still requires its profit target, consistency objective and loss rule. The timing scenarios are arithmetic, not an estimate of how long a trader will take or a reason to rush the target. A breached or unfinished evaluation can change the actual bill.

Keep Vietnam’s stage limit visible
The eligibility FAQ permits Vietnam’s listed traders to use Combine and XFA with up to $200,000 total payouts, but not LFA access; selected traders may be considered for Pro. This conditional route remains subject to account checks, not universal live-account approval.
