Trading 212 CFD: FX fee on closed results
A 0.5% calculation separates closed results from full exposure and overnight charges.
The basis is the result
CFD Help lists no trading commission but a 0.5% FX fee on closed-position results when instrument/account currencies differ. It is not 0.5% of full notional on every entry.

Diagram explained
Result-based fees differ from notional fees
- Assume EUR 40-equivalent closed result
- 40 × 0.5% = EUR 0.20
- Not 0.5% × EUR 5,000 exposure
A closed-result example
Assume a closed result requiring EUR 40-equivalent conversion: 40 × 0.005 gives EUR 0.20 illustrative cost. A EUR 5,000 exposure does not turn this into EUR 25 on notional. Confirm actual debits and rounding in history.

Funding remains separate
Crossing reset creates separate symbol/side funding charges or credits. No commission does not mean free holding, nor that a closed-result line necessarily contains every separately booked funding item.

Do not borrow Invest features
Multi-currency Help names Invest/SIPP. Holding USD in Invest therefore does not prove CFD orders can choose USD to avoid conversion; inspect the actual account configuration and agreement.
