Trading 212: annual cost-percentage denominator
EUR 30 costs can appear as 0.03% of exposure while representing 3% of assumed cash.
The product sets the denominator
Annual Costs Help uses average cash/investments over active days for Invest/ISA, versus total trading exposure for CFDs. This is a reporting method, not a new fee schedule.

Diagram explained
Same fee, different denominator and meaning
- Assume EUR 30 fees; EUR 100,000 exposure
- 30 / 100,000 = 0.03% of exposure
- 30 / 1,000 cash = 3%
Two-ratio example
Assume EUR 30 costs, EUR 100,000 CFD exposure and EUR 1,000 reference cash: exposure gives 0.03%, while cash-relative cost is 3%. Both are arithmetic but answer different questions; cash does not replace the official denominator.

Avoid double counting
Closed-result FX fees, spreads and overnight costs can sit in different groups. Reconcile items before adding; do not add the statement total to individual charges already included in it.

Do not compare products by percentage alone
Invest has distinct multi-currency/Pie flows, so its percentage is not directly comparable with leveraged CFDs. Retain account type, active days and denominator; a low fee percentage does not establish low risk or capital loss.
