Trading 212: FX, share and hedge funding
Use the two formulas and a both-sides-debit example without treating an annual rate as daily.
Two distinct formulas
Overnight Help uses FX quantity × daily rate, versus non-FX quantity × price × daily rate. Negative means debit, positive credit, followed by account-currency conversion under the source.

Diagram explained
Small net exposure can retain both-side funding
- FX: 8,000 × −0.01% = −EUR 0.80
- Both sides debit 0.80 + 0.60 = EUR 1.40
Separate arithmetic examples
Assume EUR 8,000 units at a −0.01% daily FX rate: −EUR 0.80. For 50 shares at GBP 20 and −0.02% daily, the result is −GBP 0.20. Do not add price to FX or omit it for shares.

Hedging does not cancel costs
The source charges long/short separately. If assumed debits are EUR 0.80 and EUR 0.60 in one period, total debit is EUR 1.40 even with small net exposure. Hedging does not establish free funding.

Period and reporting
Help gives Monday–Thursday 22:00 GMT, 21:00 during DST, and Sunday for weekend positions. Rates update daily. Reconcile Instrument Details/annual statements rather than importing Invest/Pie conversion as CFD funding.
